“I bought it from a guy in the Bristol area in February 2016 and have been slowly restoring it since then. We had a saloon when I was a kid and had always wanted one since then”. Seamus’s 1976 Kadett 1200 Coupe is not only one of the few surviving examples, it is also a reminder of a time when the Opel badge was a familiar sight on British roads.

The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday afternoon on the Classic World stage – with all visitors invited to attend.

The discussion of MOTs is once again in the spotlight with the announcement that a consultation has been launched into whether new cars may be exempt from needing an MOT for the first four years, an extension of a year from the current rules.
