Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership

After a successful debut last year, the Pride of Ownership display is back at this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show with a bang. With new sponsors, Lancaster Insurance, on board the show is once again inviting privately owned classics to take part in the popular display for classic cars at the show in November. Cars of all ages will be considered – from pre-war to the noughties and if last year is anything to go by, a great variety will be showcased.

Lancaster Insurance, headline sponsor of the Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership display, will be shining a spotlight on its own restoration project at this year’s Practical Classics Restoration & Classic Car Show. Taking pride of place on the insurer’s stand (9 - 245), the 1969 Morris Mini Super Deluxe named Margo, will be auctioned following her restoration at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show 2016 in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

A mixed trio of stunning classic cars are the first vehicles to be confirmed for the Pride of Ownership display, to be sponsored by Lancaster Insurance, at the Practical Classics Restoration and Classic Car Show, held 5-6 March at Birmingham’s NEC. A 1952 Humber Pullman Limousine, 1976 Citroen Ami Super Saloon and a stunning VW Camper Van have taken the first of the 20 places available for private entries.

A report by MSN Cars deduces that many cherished cars such as the Vauxhall Chevette, Talbot Sunbeam and Lada Riva, vehicles which once stole our hearts, have begun to see their numbers dwindle in recent years.
