Historic Lotus Resister Makes Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, Debut

The Historic Lotus Register will be making its first appearance at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, at Birmingham’s NEC from the 10-12 November with a truly spectacular display.

On the 6th July 1957, The Quarrymen, a skiffle group led by a student named John Lennon, were playing from the back of a flatbed lorry during a village fete in Liverpool. It turned out to be an historic day as it was the first meeting between John and Paul McCartney, and started the journey to the band being renamed The Beatles.

As #TeamMike is preparing their Ford Escort XR3i, #TeamAnt is engaged in recapturing that glorious period of Alfa Romeo’s Formula One racing during the early 1950s. The original 158 Alfetta (‘Little Alfa’) dates from 1938 with Gioacchino Colombo devising a lightweight eight-cylinder 1,479cc DOHC engine that was fitted with a Roots supercharger.
