FATHER AND SON CLASSICS - MGB GT V TRIUMPH SPITFRE 1500

This year, Lancaster Insurance Services was delighted to host on their NEC stand two British sports cars owned by a father and son. Paul Clappison’s 1973 model MGB GT will be familiar to many readers as it won the Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership competition in the 2018 Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show.

Its Wednesday the 17th October 1962 and your first port of call is to Stand 105 to appreciate three new Fords. The Zodiac, flagship of the Mk. III range, is only a few months old and the first Dagenham car with quad headlamps and a top speed in three figures.

On the 14th of November, the family of Sue Baker issued the following statement: It is with great sadness, that we share the news of Sue's passing. A doting mother to Ian & Hannah, a loving grandmother to Tom & George, and a wonderful mother-in-law to Lucy. She passed at home this morning with family around her.

The Austin A40 Devon – A Celebration

THE AUSTIN J40 – A CELEBRATION

Yesterday we celebrated the Austin A40 Devon, and today we pay tribute to its smaller but not less desirable stablemate. The Junior 40 Roadster, aka the 'J40', may not have been as rapid, but it was certainly far more economical as it used no petrol whatsoever. It is also one of the finest pedal cars ever to be built in the UK, so we are delighted to host two members of the Austin family on our stand at the NEC.
