Meet the Car Club – Chelsea Heard, Magazine Editor for the XJS Club!

We caught up with Chelsea who is their magazine editor, to find out more about the club and her history with it.

Tell us about your club members

Our members are a chatty bunch, and our ‘Members Only’ Facebook group is always buzzing with activity. Our members often ask about parts availability - particularly tyres - and insurance queries, which is why having a strong team of sponsors on board is so important!

What is your favourite club members vehicle?

My favourite has to be Simon Spurrell's HE V12 Lister XJS. It underwent a nut and bolt restoration at The Classic Mechanic and I have to say I've never seen a restoration with so much attention to detail - over 4,000 hours of labour! Manual XJS' have always spurred my interest, and this has a whole host of other tasteful modifications. Not to mention how gorgeous it is!

What is  the most memorable car you’ve owned?

It's got to be my XJS, but that's a bit predictable - as much as it is a labour of love! It would be rude not to mention our high mileage hero 1.9 PD mk4 Golf. The car that does everything, ridiculous mpg, seamlessly transitions from building sites in the week to racetracks at the weekend, and gives much newer, fancier cars a run for its money. One of the most unique cars I think I'll ever own!
