Congratulations to Les, our Austin Healey winner!

Last year we gave you the chance to WIN a beautifully restored Austin Healey. We had thousands of entries, and we can announce that the lucky winner was Les! A huge congratulations from the whole team.

How did you feel hearing that you have won the Austin Healey?

I was absolutely astounded that I’d won a car. I’ve not won anything before, and I was totally put aback! I received an email from Lancaster to say congratulations you’ve won a car. If any competitions come up in the future enter, you never know, you might just win!

Years ago, we had a Mini Cooper that needed a respray, I decided to respray the roof, and we resprayed the roof the same colour as this Autin Sprite, Bronze Yellow. We have had many MGB’s, so I am very familiar with the mechanics of the car, and it’s a good DIY proposition.

I am an existing Lancaster Insurance customer, I have a Landrover series 3 which I have had insured for several years, which is why I got the email from Lancaster to enter the competition.

What will be your ideal first journey in the sprite?

We live in the outskirts of the Peake District, so our first journey will be a trip up the A52 through the Peake District!

What’s Classic Car’s have you owned in the past?

A string of classic vehicles, classic minis, MGBs, classic TVR’s, and currently a series 3 land rover!
