Thank you for helping us celebrate 40 years at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show!

05 December 2024

We always look forward to meeting fellow classic vehicle enthusiasts at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, but this year was extra special as we celebrated 40 years of Lancaster, as well as 40 years of the show itself. The classic community is second to none and every year we come back from the show feeling inspired by the clubs, owners and enthusiasts who take part and make it such a fantastic weekend – so, thank you.

If you joined us on our stand in Hall One, you may have noticed that aside from the fantastic cars we had on display, we were also giving away 40 prizes as part of our 40th Birthday Giveaway, including weekends away, premium tool kits and tickets for some of the best events of 2025. Winners of all the prizes have now been drawn and you can read check the full list here.

You may also have been lucky enough to try a free slice of one of six extra large birthday cakes we had on stand throughout the weekend – thank you for joining us and helping us celebrate if you were able to grab a piece before it went!

Our Senior Trading Manager Yvonne Gosney said: "It's been a milestone year for ourselves and the Classic Motor Show as we both turn 40 and this weekend was a truly special one to mark the occasion. It was fantastic to be able to celebrate with enthusiasts, clubs and businesses who have supported us over the years and to be able to give something back to visitors with our prize giveaway. A huge thank you to everyone involved."

We would also like to say a huge congratulations to the winner of the Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership Autumn Final – Richard Stacey and his 1967 Ford Mustang! This beautiful American classic originally came from California, but Richard has owned it since 2013, undertaking a four-year long restoration in order to get it to where it is today. A huge well done also to the competition runners-up; Paul Clappison’s 2002 Porsche Boxster S which came in second place and Tahmid Haque’s 1986 Koenig Specials BMW 635, which came third.

You can read a full review of the show by our resident classic car expert Andrew Roberts here.

We're already planning for 2025 - make sure you have the dates in your diary! 7-9th November 2025 at Birmingham’s NEC. Check the website for the latest updates.
