Lancaster Insurance made the finals at a football charity event, raising money for Sporting Bears!

On Wednesday 14th August, the Lancaster team had a fantastic day at the Northampton business fives football tournament, raising money for Sporting bears charity and even reaching the final!

Lancaster bombers were flying from the kickoff and ended up winning 7 out of 8 games played! We lost a player to injury early on but dug deep as a team to reach the champions league final, where despite a cracking performance and 5 goals scored by each team, we lost to last minute winner 6-5. Our customer service star, Alfie Baker won top goal scorer of the tournament with an impressive 11 goals scored.

Our efforts in getting runners up in this tournament earned us a place in the elite finals hosted in Villa Park, Birmingham in October, where we have the opportunity to beat the best teams in the country.

The end goal is to raise money for Sporting Bears, who have raised an astonishing £3,000,000 for UK children’s charities since 1989. You may have seen them giving their fantastic Dream Rides in an amazing collection of classics and supercars at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show.
